Best of Wimbledon Style 2013
Some of us watch tennis. Some of us watch other people watching tennis. I'm definitely the latter! Here's my definitive run down of the best in Wimbledon 2013 style - trust me, as dramatic as the tennis was, the real action was going on in the stands.
Artist and Andy Murray's girlfriend Kim Sears watched him in style decked out in a peach tailored jacket, silver bracelets and summery florals. Less out there than Anna, this is probably what us mere mortals would wear to watch the tennis if we were lucky enough to score tickets to Wimbledon. It's simple, it's summery and it's stylish.
Loathe as I am to fuel the national Pippa Middleton obsession, I've got to admit, this works! Yes, it's a little safe, but I love the bright red, the nautical stripes, the 1950s matchy-matchyness of buying a handbag in (almost) the same colour as your dress. Yes, it's a bit twee - but on the other hand, it suddenly seems refreshing after the whole Dalston trust-fund grunge thing.
Thor star and Very Attractive Man Tom Hiddleston looks great here in classic tailoring and I love his enthusiasm for some impromptu ping pong in Wimbledon's VIP Evian suite despite his lack of sportswear!
Opera singer Katherine Jenkins channels old school Hollywood glamour in a form fitting mid length dress, matching jacket and huge sunnies. She looks a million dollars in this understated look.
Jude looks every inch the modern dandy with his knitted, polka dot tie and silk pocket square. He's got his formal daywear look spot on (pun definitely intended!).
Be still, our beating hearts! The Downton Abbey actress looks ready for her close up in pitch perfect tailoring, teaming a pale pink shirt dress with a navy jacket.
Laura, who also stars in Downton Abbey looks sexy and very grown up in her button down floral number from Erdem. Love this paired with the wicked PVC heels!
SUPERMODELS! ERIN O'CONNOR, NAOMI CAMPBELL AND CAROLINE WINBERG
Supermodels, super-styling - obviously! These girls always look great, but it's Caroline Winberg who's knocking it out of the ball park with her cats eyes sunnies. I'm enjoying the good girl stylings of bad girl Naomi in her pastel blue dress and peep toes, while Erin's wrap around silk dress is delicious.
Ben Whishaw! Swoon. Ok, ignoring the unflattering hairdo, this look is too cool for school! Black paired with black paired with almost-but-not-quite black - he's like a modern day, tennis-match-watching Johnny Cash. What a maverick - not a white in sight!
