Christy's BACK!

The 44 year old supermodel and former face of Calvin Klein has taken time out from modelling over the past few years to work on her Every Mother Counts campaign to end preventable deaths caused by childbirth, design her own workout gear and to even pen books on yoga. We reckon she definitely drinks a stronger coffee than we do!

When you've got as much energy as Christy, when you're back, you're really back. She's got three huge campaigns on the go.

1. She's taking over from 29 year old spring chicken, Lara Stone as the face and body of Calvin Klein. There are no snaps of this campaign as yet, apart from this rather tasty teaser of Christy looking hot with slicked back hair and natural make up:

2. Darling of the New York fashion scene Jason Wu, who has designed dresses for Michelle Obama has persuaded Christy to star in his summer campaign. We reckon he just loves 44 year old models - the model he used for his last campaign, the lovely Stephanie Seymour, is also 44!

To do him justice though, neither of those women look as if they're in their forties...check out Christy's latest snap from his campaign - it definitely makes us want to rush out and buy the gorgeous red party frock.

3. Finally, when Prada comes knocking, you don't say no. Christy's fronting their campaign alongside other models, including Freja Beha and Fei Fei Sun. And thank goodness: Christy shows her versatility by demonstrating she can do New York cool just as well as smouldering sexiness. She's also knocking it out of the ballpark for those who think older women shouldn't still be on the modelling circuit - she looks every bit as fantastic as her 24 year old co-model, Catherine McNeil (on the right of the picture below).

This news comes hot on the heels of the rumours that almost-40 something Kate Moss is doing Playboy's cover for their 60th birthday bash. Are 40-something supers changing the fashion industry's prejudice against older women? Let me know your thoughts below.
