MAKE YOUR OWN: PORK CHOPS WITH APPLES AND CIDER

Cold weather comfort food! Grab some cider and elevate the flavor of this pork dish. Your whole family will love it! 10kitchspan1-articleLarge-v2 In a small bowl mix together 1tsp salt, 1tsp pepper, 1.5 tsp dried rosemary and 1 tsp garlic powder. Season both sides ofpork chops liberally. In a large skillet, heat some oil. Place the pork chops into pan. Cook each side for 4 minutes until chops are golden brown. Take pork chops out and place in baking dish. Place 2 sliced onions and 2 sliced apples into the skillet. Pour in about 1/4 cup of cider and deglaze pan while tossing apples and onions. Add rest of cider and let simmer for 5 minutes uncovered or until liquid reduces a bit. Add pork chops back into skillet and cover. Turn off heat and let sit for 1-2 minutes. Using tongs, take out pork chops and place in dish. Pour apple and onion mixture over pork chops and serve.
